Scottish
Artist, Dronma shows her new range of work, 'Moments of Change'
from 21st April 2007 onwards.
Dronma, a Tibetan Buddhist since the 70's, is primarily
a landscape artist, but also illustrates books, including
those by Gordon Smith, Glasgow's Psychic Barber. She
also completed a mural last year at Kew Gardens.
Her latest exhibition at Christo's will show a range
of over 29 vibrant landscapes. Her bold style has gained
her a reputation amongst dicerning buyers of contemporary
Scottish art as a modern colourist. Gallery owner, Louise
Burns said "I have regular buyers at the gallery who
are really excited about viewing Dronma's latest work.
The paintings can be quite wild and expressive but also
gleam with an inner light. They can quite literally transform
a room". |

'A brand new Glasgow gallery and gift shop opened its' doors in June 2005.
Louise Burns, owner of Christo's is delighted with the initial reaction to the gallery at 595 Gt. Western Rd. and is confident that her wide range of art and gifts will continue to attract the discerning West End shoppers. |

Christo's showcases the best of Scottish talent and on show are works by J.P. McLaughlin, Kirsten Harris, Dronma, Iain Carby, Ian S. Elliot, Amaryliss Johnston and a number of new artists. Textiles from Global Guru, jewellery by Louise Pringle and silver by Temperly. Glasswork by Elin Isaksson and ceramics by Angela Hughes.
The range of gifts includes scented cushions from Snickledoodles, scented candles, and all manner of potions and lotions. |
Louise loves New York City and visited a number of galleries and trade shows in the 'Big Apple' to help to create the right mix. The combination of Scottish Art and cool, funky gifts has resulted in customers coming back for more. "Everyone should be able to surround themselves with beautiful things, whether that is a fabulous painting or a simple hand-made soap. It can lift the spirits and really create the feeling of wellbeing", said Louise.
